Why Canaan Home Care?
Understanding the Canaan Home Care Difference
The Highest Standards
We maintain the highest possible standards when it comes to home care. Our caregivers are rigorously screened, both before and after hiring. They are our employees (W2), not independent contractors. All of our caregivers are fully licensed and bonded and are covered by our liability and workers compensation insurance policies. Our caregivers receive continuing education, are continually supervised, and exceed all state requirements. On average, less than 5% of all applicants meet our standards and become employees.Learn What Questions To Ask Us
Our Clients’ Experience
We Care for Our Caregivers
We pay above-average wages to these highly qualified caregivers, and offer a comprehensive benefits package to minimize turnover. We want the caregiver you select to be around as long as you need them.
Helping is Our Mission
We believe in more than just providing the best-qualified caregivers at an affordable cost. That’s why we created the Canaan Cares Foundation, a non-profit, 501(c)(3), which helps fund research and care options for elderly and disabled individuals. A portion of every dollar we make goes to the Canaan Cares Foundation.
At Canaan Home Care, we believe home care should be affordable without sacrificing quality – on average we make less than 3% and our care services are ranked in the top tier by long term insurance companies and referral sources. There’s never an upcharge for weekends or higher levels of care. Our rates are simple, all-inclusive, and are published. In addition, we disclose all of our financial information, so you see just how little we make vs. caregivers, state and federal agencies, and how much goes to the Canaan Cares Foundation 501(c)(3).
